The short version

  • We recently painted a Wyngate model in Huntley that Huntley Realty had listed.
  • That job came to $8,500 for the full paint job plus $1,500 for the vanities, $10,000 in total.
  • A Wyngate takes about 4 to 6 days, depending on drying times and trim and ceiling detail.
  • We still do a walkthrough to check every area that needs paint before the final price.

Why we share our real pricing

You are probably searching for how much it costs to paint a Wyngate home right now. You want real answers, not vague ranges or a request to contact us for a quote.

We still come out for a final walkthrough to check every area that needs paint. Some rooms may not need paint, or may only need one coat instead of a new color, which lowers the price. Other times there are more holes than anyone expected. Either way, we want to know what we are getting into, so the price is fair and accurate.

The Wyngate we painted in Huntley

We recently worked on a Wyngate home listed by Huntley Realty. The home was in great shape, so it needed only a little drywall repair. Here was the full scope.

  • All walls painted, in a single color scheme
  • Ceilings throughout
  • Minor drywall repairs
  • Optional: oak vanity painting in the bathrooms

What that job cost

Paint used: Sherwin-Williams Duration and Emerald.

Final price: $8,500 for the full paint job, plus $1,500 for the vanities, for $10,000 in total.

Why does it cost this much to paint a house?

Here is where the money goes.

  • Premium paint. We do not use builder grade paint. Duration and Emerald are high end paints, chosen for durability and how well they wipe clean.
  • Scope of work. Walls, ceilings, trim and doors take time, skill and more than one coat.
  • Oak vanity painting. It takes prep, a primer like BIN shellac or Stix, and enamel topcoats to hold up in a bathroom.
  • Labor and detail work. We take care of the fine details most people do not notice until they are done wrong.

Should you paint before or after moving in?

Before, if you can. It is easier, cleaner and faster when we do not have to work around furniture, curtains and boxes. And you walk into a home that already looks like yours.

What if you wait a few years?

That is fine. Keep a few things in mind.

  • You may have more drywall repair from settling.
  • More prep means a higher cost.
  • Touch ups may be harder to blend, especially with flat paint.

Questions about painting a Del Webb house

How long does it take to paint a Wyngate model? About 4 to 6 days, depending on drying times and how much trim and ceiling detail is needed.

Can I skip the trim or ceilings to save money? Yes. We can line item your quote to match your budget.

Will an accent wall cost more? Usually not, and if it does, not by much. It depends on how much extra paint we need.

Do not skimp on paint
