Who should I hire to install my wallpaper? How do I find a wallpaper installer near me? Two questions we are asked or hear in conversations. Depending on where you live you may have to look deeper for the best wallpaper installers to come to your location.  If you live in the Chicago/NE suburbs of Illinois, I have 3 great names for you.

Why these 3 names? Aren’t there other installers out there?

  • First off I know each of them. Not only know them by name but through work experience.  I have been installing wallpaper for a short time (about 4 years) while these men have been doing it for over 20 years each.  Each of these men has taken me to their job sites not just for labor help but to help me learn how to install better.
  • They have wallpaper trade school experience and as part of the Wallpaper Installers Association (WIA), they are part of the continued education and betterment of the wallpaper industry.
  • They are great instructors, exceptional in their application process, have a knowledge base of information regarding wallpaper that positions them to do a perfect job every time.
  • Each has all the proper insurance
  • They are like what they do. Don’t you love being around people that not only are good at what they do but enjoy what they do?

Where else can you find an installer?

  • Ask your local paint and wallpaper store. They normally do not advertise for contractors, but they know who does the kind of work you are looking for.  Get more than one name, do your homework. You can read more about hiring a wallpaper installer here: How to Hire a Wallcovering Installer
  • Are you working with an Interior Designer? They also work with quality contractors that can perform the work you are looking for.
  • Ask people you know. Who do you know that has had wallpaper installed in their home or workplace?
  • Do a google search for wallpaper installers.
  • The WIA find a wallcovering installer is a great resource but may not be practical where you live.
